Our mission
Otic Foundation accelerates Africa's digital transformation by building continent wide AI capability. We work with educational institutions, innovation hubs, communities, and partners to develop practical AI competencies, promote responsible adoption, and strengthen the infrastructure for sustainable growth.
Strategic pillars
We design and deploy tailored AI bootcamps, school tours, university partnerships, and online learning communities to make technical competencies highly accessible.
We champion and contribute to a supportive regulatory and cultural environment that encourages ethical AI adoption and localized technology policies.
We collaborate with hubs and tech centers to secure physical and digital infrastructure, ensuring internet and computing power are accessible for real world training.
Our past programs
Through highly practical, localized programs, we take people from their first exposure to AI concepts to skills they can actually use.
Executed in partnership with UNDP Uganda, Otic Foundation trained over 5000 secondary school students in 30+ schools across 4 sub regions of Northern Uganda in fundamental AI concepts, preparing them for the new AI first era.
Executed in collaboration with all the Regional ICT Innovation Hubs in Uganda, Otic Foundation trained over 1000 Ugandans in foundational and emerging AI skills.
In partnership with Data Science Nigeria, Otic Foundation equipped over 1500 Ugandans in Machine Learning and Data Analytics with PowerBI, a then in demand skill for Uganda's job market.
